Iridescent glaze mechanism

- Mar 01, 2018-

The iridescent glaze is a kind of ceramic glaze that shines dazzlingly under the sun's surface and presents different color effects at different angles, or multi-colored rings, or multicolored iridescent effect, or pearl luster and interference luster, or silver luster.

Second, the mechanism

The crystal or crystal film precipitated on the surface of the iridescent glaze is different from the refractive index, the reflection and the absorption characteristics of the glass phase so that the visible light of various wavelengths incident on the glaze layer causes the optical path difference to cause the interference of light and causes the iridescence effect. Control the composition of the basic glaze, the crystals precipitated different glaze will appear different iridescent colors.
